I was asked to do some roses for a commission. This rapidly became difficult. I didn’t have a good feel for how roses work, how they are constructed, how they grow, how the petals grow and bend and fray.

So there’s a practice challenge I saw over on Instagram about drawing a thing (or type of thing) 100 times. Here are the first three. Onward!
