During the last #Sketchfest I had trouble doing anything precise* but hey, unfinished scribbly sketches work in watercolor too. So I did this for the prompt “Panda playing the flute”. https://www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/sketchfest/sketchfestprompt.php?prompt=25288
It was lots of fun to look up different kinds of flutes. (I suspect my college roommate knows them all already.) I imagine the typical silver flute we have in classical music orchestras might be trickier for pandas than this long one. Shoulder joints and all that.
I don’t know what the panda is playing nor why — what do you think?
Should I find the time to do a finished version? Would you like that?

* Um, you probably know all this: the cataract surgery clarified my right eye’s light-gathering but made my eyes have different abilities to focus together closely. It’s all still in flux though; until my vision settles enough for reading glasses, I have either nearby depth perception or focus (but not both), so putting a mark precisely on a page was … not really happening. Luckily I don’t need to for my sketches… (It’s improving since I painted this. Or I’m adapting. Yay neurons in the brain!)
