You may recall I was working on a cover illustration (https://www.patreon.com/posts/wip-saskia-at-96400134). I finished that and Mom and my sisters finished the draft layout (what photos went with which pages). Then I took it back and did the final layouts for inside, cover, and dust jacket. Mom chose BookBaby as the printers (very nice people on the phone; easy and efficient process), and whoa!
We now have a book!
We gave a copy to the vet today, which unsurprisingly quite surprised him! Pleased/honored too, I think.
Here are a few photos of the final result. I’m still not happy with the cover illustration, now for reasons of balance and completeness. I am very happy with the feeling it has, and I like how the ink drawings worked out. A learning experience to be sure.
The story is so totally Mom’s voice! 🙂
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
